The Douglas Jones Issue, Fabrikzeitung Nr. 334 More
The first issue of a new experimental interview series portraying people living in today’s USA. The people will be chosen randomly – the only restriction: They all have to listen to the same name. Inspired by David Lynch’s «Douglas Jones» character from the 2017 Twin Peaks – a «manufactured and multiplied» american insurance manager – the first issue will be dedicated to the Douglas Jones’. We will contact a number of Douglas Jones’ and meet them for an interview (in person or via skype). They will be asked about their everyday life, what they did last week, childhood memories and their plans for the next thanksgiving. This issue is a collaboration with Lilia Kilburn (Social Anthropology PHD Programm, Harvard University), Cara Giaimo (Journalist) and Noha Mokhtar (Social Anthropology PHD Programm, Harvard University)
